The book was fun, but the narrator was terrible. Who reads or speaks like that? What I find crazy is that some one listened to her reading the book and felt like they needed to send it out into the world to irritate so many. I suggest listening to it one 1.5

Before reading this book, I was “warned” that it feels very comic-y. I think this set up my expectations well as this book was action-packed, fun, and like nothing else I’ve ever read. Reading this book, I felt like a little girl again, giddy for the next word. This is such a cute read and it will fill your cup. This is a definite recommendation from me. The plot was great and I love how it’s ongoing. Can’t wait for the next one!

It was a great book really enjoyed it needed it after listening to my last book which I dnf slightly freaked out about the next book but can't wait and as an author myself I loved how the characters changed and grew highly recommend

It was so good I may or may not have (on the speed I listened to it which made the audiobook 17 hours around) finished it within four days which made the next book blocked for me i was not pleased in fact I ended up looking on weird sites for the next one (says a lot about me and the book)

It's likeable and exactly what you'd expect from the title.

The mystery was odd, since I don't feel there were proper clues to figure it out before, but maybe they were just too subtle for me?
Also the target of the mystery's moral values came waaay out the left field. There was a little foreshadowing there, but nothing that would justify something that messed up.

The protagonist is also clumsy enough to die.

I LOVED that the protagonist learned that it's okay to kill filth ❤️
There is a bit of good intentions with bad methods vs bad intentions with acceptable methods at play here.

Bought the book on pre-order, had been following the Tiktoks for years. It took me a year to finally read it because of life and stuff, which is why I just started listening to it. Its SO GOOD! It has a delightful world, custom built to fit modern things into a medieval fantasy world in a way that felt natural and the PLOT TWIST GOT ME! I didn't figure it out until 1 chapter before, which i think is when the author wanted the reader to figure it out.

Definitely worth a read. I did listen a 1.2x speed because I am autistic and my brain needs a faster audio.

Would love to get into the book but the narrators cadence destroyed any possibility of enjoying the book. It's jilted and the choices to elongate the end of each sentence and leave a HUGE pause before continuing means there's no flow. Legitimately it's one of the worst listening experiences I've had.

I will try to read the book in another form but alas it will not be through audiobook.

Im still trying to figure out if I love or hate the narration. I love her voice and she does a good male voice. I felt at times, the reading was done poorly. The story is cute and the angst is on the lower scale.
