I thought it was a good story it had twists and turns we weren't tortured with a neverending mc monologue like some stories. I was able to get through in a day all and all I would recommend. It's not an epic romance so far but still good.

Badly written smut fantasy, don't even bother picking this one up

Love this book! There was some good ?️?️?️ but I really wanted more! More of the story, more character building, more time in this book! Even with me wanting more, I would still recommend this book.

Poor writing style. It’s also about a MINOR and a grown man. Writing style is bad, the characters are all lacking any substance, zero world building. I love some dark smut but this was…. Rough to say the absolute least.

I did not anticipate loving this book like I did. I cannot wait to listen to book 2. The characters have been so good I had to listen to the whole thing in a day.

Blew threw it. No overly drawn out descriptions or scenes just to the point. Murder and a walking sack of bones...well two of them

There’s really no plot. There’s a lot of blurry consent, a lot of violence, and not a lot of magic. The premise is something that could’ve been fleshed out more.

It’s an interesting premise. Would love to have explored the books magical system a little more but the execution doesn’t really pull through. It does seem like the FMC is 16. That makes the rest of the book gross. The fact that so many people think that is a testament to how badly the book could use a good editing.

    Good idea. Poor execution

Wish the female narrator would wake up. She sounds so sleepy. She would be great for bedtime mediations, though. Good story and characters otherwise. Interesting take on witch lore, too.

This book was amazing I read it in 3 days which is unusual for me and the ending was surprising

Reallllly just read like more of a watt pad fanfic. Jumped around a lot and was kind of hard to follow. BUT the storyline is a great idea, loved the concept.

Fun ending. Curvy MC that doesn't hate herself, great. But she didn't have to be 16. Ick. Make her 18 and stop talking about virginity then it would be 4 ⭐s.

No decent plot, relies heavily on the darker “romance scenes”. Contains some elements which definitely are on the edge of consensual sex.

!The female lead is 20 years old, not 16 like some reviewers say.!

The idea of this book is very interesting but sadly the author doesn't bring it to life very well.

The characters fall incredibly flat and can't seem to make up their mind on anything. There are several hints at friendships but they go no where and only the male and female lead have any characteristics and story at all, which makes the world building feel very empty.

I wish there was more explanation of the magic system and the whole witch society. A lot of things remain unexplained.

Very dark themes related to consent and sex but wonderfully written.

I really enjoyed the story. Definitely a different take on vampires and witches that I haven't heard before. The narrating wasn't horrible, they did a good job. I'm taking a star off however, because if you're going to have a male and female narrator, I feel your should do the book in duet. Not in dual pov. Have the male read the male characters throughout the entire book, and the female the female characters. Why have 2 narrators if your not going to do it that way? It makes no sense. It's definitely a cliff hanger, and the 2nd book doesn't come out until August! I want to know what happens next! Maybe they'll ACTUALLY do the audiobook in duet next time. ??????

I loved the plot (I first read the physical book a few months ago) but now upon listening I realized the male narrator’s voice was not really what I expected, it was too young for such “ancient” character.

Way too much ick with parents grooming a 16 year old to seduce a demon. There is too much coheresion and sexualization of a minor. NOT nearly enough consent even if both parties were adults. Make her 18...this is child porn rolled up and disguised as a dark fantasy romance.

Loved it .. but also wished there was more depth. I usually love a book that is fast paced and exciting from start to finish. But this one felt a little rushed. Loved the subject matter and the vibes. The spice was great ?? i was just missing that connection to the characters and the plot in general. I felt like i blinked and we were at the climax already. Overall i really enjoyed this book and will definitely continue on with the series. Just hope the next installment offers more character development.

To be honest I didn't read this book. I truly appreciate being warned about potential triggers. That's why I'm giving this book any stars .

she’s 16 and he’s been alive since the dawn of time. when he meets her he thinks about how she doesn’t have a child’s body. similar “she’s an adult not a child as the character expects” type comments happens a ton. the author also just writes in a character saying the 16 y/o fmc is an adult a few times. in the context of encouraging a sexual relationship between the characters or being like haha the creepy old man wants to have sex (rape and groom) the child but like *wink* isn’t it cute that he’s so attracted to a witch when he hates witches!!!

the character writing especially sucks. but tbh the whole thing is to the same quality as something on wattpad

After reading some of the reviews I had to go back and check, but the MC is not 16, she had simply been hidden by her mother for 4 years after her powers awakened. It’s still icky that her father had been grooming her from when she was 16 to seduce a vessel to get the bones though.

I enjoyed the story enough to preorder the sequel on Kindle. It wasn’t necessarily anything new, but it was entertaining enough to keep me interested. The main issue I had was actually with the narration. The voice for Alaric seemed too young to be an ancient being, and the voice for Willow kept over-enunciating words (imo) that it kind of took me out of the story.
