About this audiobook
Four siblings. Three prophecies. A world of magic.
Cordelia Bant has a secret: she’s a siren, a magical creature created to sustain the life force of the fae. But what can she do when the faeries she cares about most are trapped on an island full of iron?
Her siren brother Thomas leads a carefree life — that is, until fate reunites him with a long-lost love. But when political forces threaten to tear them apart again, they flee to the mage haven of Australia ...
Meanwhile, their sisters Amy and Mary live normal lives in America, unaware of the sirenic power that lies latent in their blood. Amy works as a neurosurgeon — but when she invents a surgical procedure that allows mundanes to see magic, she discovers that she’s been manipulated into setting off the next mage war.
Mary is a retired opera singer whose first priority is her family. But her faith in her siblings is shaken when Thomas reveals a long-held family secret, causing her ordinary life to shatter apart.
Join the Bant family as they navigate treacherous political waters, cryptic prophecies, and what it truly means to be a family.
Set in a modern world and led by a strong cast of female characters, Sirens Unbound is the bestselling first installment in the Fifth Mage War Series.

What a fascinating world this author designed. The narrator's voice was great. She read with the right amount of emotion for me (sometimes audiobooks are either flat or over-the-top. This was a good balance) But the reason I really loved the book was because of how unusual the story was. The characters were appealing -- I especially liked the doctor. There's a lot going on in this story, but the author eases you into the main characters' stories, and I liked how it moved between them. The last part of the book was pretty intense, and all the stories tied together. It's part of a series but doesn't end on a cliff-hanger. Still, I may check out the next one in ebook instead of waiting for the audiobook to come out (I only listen to audiobooks in the car anyway). I received an advance copy for free.1 person found this helpful

I was surprised how much I loved this book. I didn’t expect anything, it felt original and interesting. I often wanted to keep listening even though I had to go to sleep. lol! In the beginning the book pages confused me and I didn’t know who was who. But eventually you start to understand. I hope they have all the other books on Everand. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5

I like the world that the author built for this book. It has faes and vampires and other elements of a good fantasy story. Which I am a fan of both types of characters. Instantly, I was drawn to the world that this story did take place in. I could picture everyone in my head. So, these are the good elements that I liked about this book. Here is what I struggled with regarding this book. It moved really, really slow. There was not a lot happening. The book just seemed like it was more about the set up leading into the next book with explanation of who all the characters are and their missions. There are a bunch of different characters introduced in the story. I had no issues keeping them straight but there was not one that really stood out to me. Due to the slow pacing. Yet, I did like enough things about this book that I do want to read book two to continue this journey.
