The story had an interesting beginning filled with mystery, however I stopped at chapter 5 because the main character was touching the girl where he shouldn’t and it was getting more graphic. I would’ve liked to find out how he would help to free her, but that scene ended this listen for me. I don’t recommend that kind of reading to anyone. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5

My only real complaint was he pacing was strange in some places. I otherwise really enjoyed the story and found myself staying up later than I should to continue listening. Thank you for the entertainment. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5

Gaiman forgot to put the romance in this romantic fairytale.
Luckily he fixed that blunder for the screenplay. The movie is better. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5

I started to tell you how much I appreciated Niel Gaiman's Stardust, when my computer decided to interrupt my line of thinking. So, I repeat, I think Neil Gaiman is a master of the good story well and richly told. I first met Stardust as a movie I must tell you, I loved. When I saw the book offered in audio form narrated by Neil Gaman himself I had to hear it. I will have to get the book itself to keep because I will read it again. The movie embroidered the story very well, I think. But I prefer the book in its direct and honest development. I plan to listen to as many of Neil Gaiman's books I have read and some I have not read yet. I had so much pleasure listening to Neil tell this story, and look forward with pleasure to hear the rest of the stories. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5

Easily my favourite of the Gaiman I've read so far - I think his style works much better when he's not trying to be overly pretentious and involve too much philosophising in his work. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5

I can't believe I've only just read this. I usually don't like seeing movies before books and in this case it did colour my expectations, however the book stands on its own. It's charming and imaginative and if you like unicorns......beware! - Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5

Enjoyed the movie when I was a kid. Never realized it was a book made for adults. Stumbled across it a couple days ago. Loved every moment of it. Neil Gaiman reading it was a treat, would recommend and would listen to again perhaps in another couple years. Many thanks for the production. Much enjoyed.
