Liv Zander’s King of Flesh and Bone certainly walks the line between thrilling and triggering for me, but she weaves an incredibly rich dark fantasy romance that kept me listening to the audiobook until the end. I was entirely tangled up in the story of Ada and Enosh: her determination to stay true as it is overwhelmed by his possessiveness, his questionable nearly non existent morals, and each carrying their own pasts.

If you love to love the villain, this is the book for you, but please check the triggers first. Liv Zander leaves nothing on the table, and weaves a dark tale full of exquisite lust, bitterness, confinement, and an incredible dystopian fantasy world. while this book ends on a cliffhanger, the next book and audiobook are available!

Fun to read. A bit dark in a way that isn’t interesting enough to not notice the darkness, and I’d have loved more of a build up. There’s just something about the plot layout that wasn’t for me. I loved Feathers so Vicious and I thought this would be similar… and it’s good! But I’m not like, obsessed. Still adore Liz Zander and would read anything by her (I’m still gonna read book 2 lol) this just felt a bit dull.

Anyway I still recommend it. Read and decide if it’s your vibe ?

Not me realizing too late this was the book that was all over TikTok because he breaks her legs so she can't leave. ?

Let's clear it up... He didn't break them..... He twisted them ? there's apparently a difference to him but not her.

Anyways this book is definitely on the dark side. No red light sabers tho.

I'm not really fond of just all out smut. Everyone just going at it and no story. I was sure that's what this book would be because.... Look at the cover, but , while it did have smut, the story was actually pretty good; In my opinion.... Once you get past the walking dead on full moons, murdered, rape, dismemberment and dead babies I was ready to see what Ada can do to the Pale Court
