Excellent writing, a beat and interesting twist on an old story. Also the narration was spectacular. Certainly with the time.

I liked grace dravens other series more than this one. This one's okay, doesn't help that this narrator apparently doesn't know how to pronounce very basic words. Very very annoying. You cant google how to say words you dont know?

It’s like a version of Beauty and the Beast and it had all the adventure and drama and good romance!

It started really good. Our girl was fierce, independent and around 30 yo, so we were in a treat of strong FMC. But maybe around half in the story she started acting like a needy whiny annoying little teen and the book immediately fell in quality. The obsession with her sister was really weird and unnecesary.

First 15 chapters were great! I heard the rest just to finish the book. It wasn't boring its just that they became lovers and thats what i was looking for. Also someone spoiled it for me in the reviews so I wasn't really concerned about the ending.

Excellent read. This is a great story. Nuanced and intelligent. The love story is well done and refreshing. Not the typical 19 year old girl as the fated lover for some 400 year old adult which are so common. I love grown adults learning to love each other for the right reasons. It's a palette cleanser.

Really good book and great narrator. I would have given it 5 stars but the book did drag the suspense on a little too long at the end and I’m not really quite sure what action ended the curse.

The best immersive storytelling I've heard in a very long time. It's a well-grounded fantasy, as, the situations and characters are very believable in their reactions and temperaments. Even though the plot is fairytale-based, it's not your typical simplistic formula. The author keeps you very interested. The relationship is paced and mature. The intimacy is not a centerpiece of the storyline, just part of it which is so refreshing. Like in real relationships, sex isn't the main part, it's part of the whole. Strong characters, wonderful history building with flashbacks that do not confuse the reader, and fantastic use of period vocabulary. Most of all, thank you Ms. Draven for the epilogue. Closure is a blessing.

Refreshing to have a book that has a grown man and woman in love, and not an unreasonably young woman with a ridiculously older man. This was a great read for an adult who wants to enjoy an empowered female character who is at an appropriate age to engage in the sexual relationships and assert her submission or independence accordingly!
Nice beauty and the beast story!
