About this audiobook
No one was ever born less suited to ruling than Rissa, the thorn of the seelie realm-a half-fae so wild she's spent the better part of a hundred years in the woods.
For all her flaws, she's the last of the high court bloodline, and the southern king seems to think that's reason enough to slap a crown on her feathered head. He needs her to unify the seelie forces. She needs him to forget about that nonsense.
In an effort to aid her people without condemning herself to a lifetime of misery, she sets off on a journey to find the one person with a stronger claim to the throne than hers: the cursed prince.
Sealed in the mountains of the Wilderness, under many spells, the heir of the first seelie queen is the only royal strong enough to protect the fae lands from their immortal invaders.
Surviving the untamed tribes and awakening a thousand-year-old prince seem a lot easier than ruling an entire kingdom where everyone hates her very nature.
And her choices won't come without consequences.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5After seeing some of the reviews I was a little nervous to give this one a go but I enjoyed it short and sweet didn't take 27482368328 pages to get to what we knew was going to happen. No pointless details. Just to the point . I like it .... Tho I would also enjoy a second one

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I don't like the reader's voice, she sounds so unethusiastic and bland
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It was a good read. I appreciate how straightforward the plot was. The slowburn between the main characters was good. Character development could have been better, but it's enough. I wish it was longer, but if you need a quick audio book to get you in between books, this is it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was a nice hidden gem. Author knows what they are doing and wrote characters that are easy to connect to. Only complaint I have is that it wasn’t longer.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I’m surprised I haven’t heard more about this book. It’s got a great main character, though she might be a little overly powerful. During the first chapter I thought it was going to be a “spicy” book, which I was happily wrong about. Although there is tension between the main character and her love interest, they keep it in their pants for 95% off the book. It’s an entertaining read.
