About this audiobook
"Even nonfantasy listeners will enjoy hanging out at the intersection of coffeehouse culture and Dungeons & Dragons, and hope that Baldree fails to shake his new writing habit." - The Seattle Times

The much-beloved BookTok sensation, Travis Baldree's Legends & Lattes is novel of high fantasy and low stakes.
Come take a load off at Viv's cafe, the first & only coffee shop in Thune. Grand opening!
Worn out after decades of packing steel and raising hell, Viv, the orc barbarian, cashes out of the warrior’s life with one final score. A forgotten legend, a fabled artifact, and an unreasonable amount of hope lead her to the streets of Thune, where she plans to open the first coffee shop the city has ever seen.
However, her dreams of a fresh start filling mugs instead of swinging swords are hardly a sure bet. Old frenemies and Thune’s shady underbelly may just upset her plans. To finally build something that will last, Viv will need some new partners, and a different kind of resolve.
A hot cup of fantasy, slice-of-life with a dollop of romantic froth.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It is a cozy story, with great characters. I do wish that Viv and Tandri's friendship would have had a bit more development. But, I thoroughly enjoyed it! Also, the author is a wonderful narrator; he really brought his own story to life!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I liked it. It was somewhat predictable, and sweet, which is what I was looking for when I picked this up on a recommendation. It was fun, but had some very poignant parts at times.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The book was quite cozy. I wish Viv and Tandri got more scenes to develop their relationship. There were definitely sparks between them, but more chemistry was needed. Regarding the bonus chapter, I wish that more than three minutes were dedicated to Viv's first encounter with coffee. The bonus chapter could’ve focused on Viv's new coffee shop partners and their new routine. It would've been fun to get a bonus chapter from Thimble's perspective. I loved every small spotlight and praise Thimble received in the book. I added an extra star for all the 'thimblets crumbs.’
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A wonderful cozy story. I read the prequel first, not knowing it was a series and I don’t think you necessarily need to read in order. The characters are charming, and it doesn’t try to be a huge world builder and it doesn’t need to be. I heard a review that called this series a warm hug, and they weren’t wrong.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Such a cozy book! I loved it. Loved all of the characters and wanted to be their friends too! Companionship is truly lacking in the world today, this book makes me feel nostalgic for it. And the author/narrator did an amazing job as well! The voices fit all the characters perfectly. I could visualize everything with ease. Perfect job.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I didn't expect to love this book, but it really is a charming tale. I could have done without the last chapter, which is an actiony side story, but other than that, I think this book is very enjoyable and the narrator (also the author) was absolutely fantastic, Ray Porter level fantastic. It's a benign book with some minor language, a mild romance that never gets too steamy and very few eventful moments. Cozy and cute. It made me crave coffee 24/7.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This novel was reminiscent of a D&D game's tale. Except that it was like watching a fellow warrior retire into the life they were meant to have rather than what they should be doing. Add in friendships and mild romance with a dash of intrigue for a wonderful read.
The audio book was well read and had a great production quality. I truly hope for a sequel or another trip into the same realm with another character. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It is slow, but a great read. Especially if u like dnd inspired stuff.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great story! A little tricky to get into in the first chapter, but sometimes that happens with an audiobook. I was happily surprised by the “extra” chapter after the epilogue!!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I have nothing to say that others haven't said, it's great. My only suggestion is to read it with a cup of coffee on a rainy day.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is simply a warm, engulfing escape to comforting fantasy land. With coffee+baking and meaningful kinships. I would never stop reading this were I given the chance.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/53.5/5. Doesn’t live up to the hype and it’s quite predictable but it’s not a bad book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A fun heart felt story. Rooted for the main character the whole way and felt each process of getting her coffee shop started.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It was okay. I had a hard time picking it up and getting into it. I don't regret it but I don't know if I'd necessarily recommend it to everyone. It's definitely for a niche audience.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Riveting, evocative, and easily a comfort read from now on.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Such a lovely, wholesome read. Fun! I want more! :)
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Fun, heartfelt and original. Nice narration from the author. I look forward to hopefully more adventures of Viv & coffee!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Perfect. Cozy.
Everything I never knew I wanted in a fantasy/dnd book.
