- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I like the story line (would have rated higher )but the narrator is soooo annoying. She is too impressed with her accent and her reading is too melodic…every three words seems to be emphasized and it is killing me! Don’t think I will be able to continue listening to her.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The Rook was such a pleasant surprise!
The story is a slow build, introducing us to the characters and building up the setting. While a little sluggish, I was intrigued enough to stay invested.
Turns out, this is a fun blend of humor, mystery, and supernatural craziness. I loved the unique plot and the characters.
I listened to this on audio, via Scribd. The narrator does a fantastic job and is brilliant with the various accents.1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Narrator nope. Story might be great...but I could not handle the unchanging rhythm and lack of vocal variety. Conversational dialogue is MUCH better...but the narrative voice is frustratingly unvaried...like always ending a sentence with a question tone? Ugh. Cannot abide.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved the story and the narrator was perfect for the story. I giggled out loud multiple times and loved every minute of this audiobook! Looking forward to the next in the series.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Audio cuts out numerous times losing many paragraphs of the text
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I’ve read the physical copy years ago and revisited with the audio. Narrator was excellent and really killed it with the great character voices, and the book really held up!
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Wow what an annoying narrator. Could not tolerate to go past 10 minute mark.
