About this audiobook

A curvy librarian looking to start a family, a clan of gargoyles, and the deception that starts it all.

My family has always found me lacking. From the way I dress, how I look, to the type of magic I have. My family name is full of pomp and prestige, and I want nothing to do with it.

I’m a witch that knows how to set a goal and I have one in mind.

I want a real family.

Dating is a travesty. All the suitors I meet are looking for a connection to the family name I left behind. I need help.

Enter the matchmaker. It seems too good to be true that I can give her the list of traits I want in a partner and have my deepest desire answered, but I’m out of options.

Love comes along in the most unexpected ways.

From the very first moment I meet Elliot Bramblewick, I have hope. But he’s tricky.

I’m not expecting him to be hiding two other mates. Mates who are as alarmed and intrigued by my presence as I am by theirs.

He thinks I’m a perfect fit for them, but can I open my heart and discard my list long enough to see if this is the family I’m looking for?

None of my lists and plans prepared me for being courted by three gargoyles.

Deceived by the Gargoyles is a standalone monster romance in the same world as Stalked by the Kraken with multiple love interests who are in relationships with each other. There will be no choosing among the love interests.

Content Warning: This book includes breeding, knots, size difference, lying, and deception within an open relationship.

This was great I mean surprisingly really freaky and I like that lol? This book hits all the good feels. Pros: a lot a lot of intimate scenes Because I hate when there is just one maybe two intimate scenes like boring. The only criticism of this book was that it was a bit too draw out in some parts but I still would recommend this book because it I made me realize I had weird AF kinks I had not know I had and now I need more muhhahahhhahh??.

This book is incredible! I have no words, I’m just obsessed!!!! If you’re on the fence about reading it just stop looking at this review and start listening! You won’t regret it.

I’ve never been a fan of MM romances (and tbh I didn’t know the book had it when I started reading so I was a little shook) but for some reason this just worked. The writing style is fantastic in a way that doesn’t allow you to feel awkward at any point. Most of all I’m grateful for the narrator, who did the voices spectacularly. She made this book for me. I’ll listen to anything she’s narrated.

    It's not a bad book
MM MFM and MFMM, Smut and spice very high, supernova hot!
The plot was not world saving but was kept to revolve around the two sets of MCs and their huddles coming together.

It has stalking and related abuse due to that element in this book. It also has neglect and family force control on the plot.

The characters were developed in a lovely way. It worked it was not an insta love connection, although that part was there in the background. Instead, it was a "I have these strong instinct feelings. but I'm going to get to know you so I know we fit" type romance. There are Alphas but not purposeful alphaholes. The FMC is open, strong, and fights her prejudiced upbringings to show the character she is now.

A sad, happy, romantic, a little thrilling and very spicy book.

This book was absolutely amazing, I came looking for something to make time go by but I couldn't put it down. I love the fact that all the characters had their own personality and it's was easy to tell who was speaking. The POV: ??

NSFW but super interesting premise. The romance felt very authentic despite the paranormal aspect. I do want to know why the gargoyles can alter their appearance to a more human look with magic but the witch can't do so in order to make her stupid family happy... Not that she should but it's not really addressed.

Very fun and entertaining! Great mix of lore, romance, mystery, and smut (**tee hee**)! Steamy time not for the faint of heart, MM, MMF, MF, MMFM... etc.

Listened to audiobook due to blindness.

I picked this audiobook based on recommendations for this author from others who enjoy erotic romance. I really wanted to like it, but struggled to finish. I very much enjoy the paranormal subgenre. Larissa Ione's Demonica series is my favorit so far. I am fairly new to these types of books, tho.

I can't tell if my problem was the writing or the reader, Nadia Day. So I also question the direction she recieved. I just did not enjoy her performance. It felt like I was listening to some Disney's Gargoyles slash fanfic. Unfortunately this performance hurt the book overall for me.
