About this audiobook

Briar Rose might have a name out of a storybook, but she learned at a very young age that no prince was coming to save her. She’ll have to save herself. Unfortunately, even that is an impossible task in her current situation—trapped in a terrifying marriage to a dangerous man.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, which is how she finds herself making a deal with a demon. Freedom from her husband…in return for seven years of service.

She expects the service to be backbreaking and harsh. She doesn’t expect to be put on an auction block in a room full of literal monsters and sold to the highest bidder.

To Sol.

A dragon.

He might seem kinder than his fearsome looks imply, but she knows better than to trust the way he wants to take care of her, or how invested he is in her pleasure. In her experience, if something seems too good to be true, it certainly is.

Falling for Sol is out of the question. She’s suffered enough, and she has no intention of staying in this realm…even if she leaves her heart behind when she returns to her normal life.

Author

Katee Robert

New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Katee Robert learned to tell her stories at her grandfather's knee. Her 2015 title, The Marriage Contract, was a RITA finalist, and RT Book Reviews named it "a compulsively readable book." When not writing sexy contemporary or romantic suspense, she spends her time playing imaginary games with her children, driving her husband batty with what-if questions, and planning for the inevitable zombie apocalypse.

Great story! I am so glad that Ezazel is still part of the story. Sol and Brier are so good together and I love how he was able to get Brier through her past trauma. I love Katee Robert books!

Omg so sweet but so bloody sexy!!! The ending is perfect for the characters.
Now if you haven't read Sarah piper and the some of the monsters and their sexy scenes then this may horrify you. I have and yea....It took a moment to get over some aspects. In the end you forget he's not human. That is some good writing.

I loved this tale. It was a fast-burn fast paced fantasy romance. I adored the characters. Saul us super sweet and lived watching Briar heal and grow. This story is SUPER spicy! I didn't want to put this down for one second. The world-building was interesting and painted a wonderful picture. If you love "monster" romance with novel appendages you need to read this one!

I love this writer. Her imagination is crazy good, and it is no surprise that a dragon with two ? is hardly a weird kink that must be worked out in this alternate universe. Dang. Steamy and sweet and definitely the stuff of fairy tales.

Another great katee Robert book. I was basically the Kombucha girl meme. Not sure how reading my first monster romance would go but I liked it

This is my first time reading anything like this, and I must say that it was an amazing introduction to this type of genre of books.

I really enjoyed this story and how Sol and Brair came together, but I wasn't a fan of the female narrator. Her performance was very overdone. Nonetheless, another enjoyable read from this author!

DNF around 40%. The premise was good but I just couldn't get into the story. Also the narrators weren't good in my opinion.

The Dragon's Bride is the first book in Katee Robert's paranormal romance series, "A Deal with a Demon." This story was really cute. Briar Rose is a woman sort of on the run from her abusive ex when she decides to make a deal with a demon to permanently escape the abuse and her ex. So Briar makes this deal with a demon and unbeknownst to her, part of the deal is that she has to marry a paranormal creature, in this case a dragon.

I love the banter between Sol and Briar, it's just so damn cute. I also love how protective Sol gets.

This book has SO MUCH spice, I'd say 5 chilies/ out of 5?️?️?️?️?️ chilies worth of spiciness is in this book. It was great and so sexy.

Overall I really enjoyed this book and I'm giving it 5 stars out of 5.

The narrators completely ruined this for me. I firmly stand by the fact that a narrator can make or break a book!

Love, love, love this author, but I cannot stand the male narrator. I know everyone says it's the girl, but I think it's the dude that's trying too hard.

This book has a great story line. The fact that she has take a contact and not even thought to understand what will be the out come. It is great read.

Alot of things made this...book sooo cheesey.. oddly wholesome for erotic reading.... It's definitely erotic...certain times words are excessively redundant.
The word for a male chicken in particular. Tho it does give that urban gruff feeling you'd expect from a New York city girl. The name briar rose tho.. yikes.. it bothers me. The story concept.. is underrated. It could have been a whole saga or trilogy had the author gone in a different direction. I have mixed feelings. Not a big smutty book fan tho. Sooo. Take my review for what it is my opinion.

Great story off to a slow start but got interesting. Great narration too very spicy. But the audio quality is poor. Needs to be cleaned up. Waiting for book 2
