It was my first fantasy book. It took me a bit to get into it. Once I did, I really did enjoy it. I really enjoyed the dramatized version. It went so fast. I think I may not be able to enjoy a regular, boring audio book again though.

I enjoyed the dramatized reading in this audiobook, but got pulled out of the story a few times when the narrator mispronounced something. (I.e. win-ded instead of wind-ed when talking about movement, not breath). With better enunciation throughout, I would have given 5 stars!

I kind of like the beginning of the story and the development of the tasks, but overall, I'm not really into it. I can't put my finger on whether it's the slow pace or the unconvincing romance. The only character I truly liked is Nesta ?. I probably wouldn’t read or listen to any sequels, as this fae world just doesn't work for my taste.

What a wonderful journey. This type of audiobook holds something different. It's almost like those read along book record things of Disney stories we had as kids. The extras really bring you into the story and closer to the characters. It's a great story as well. It was hard to not cry at the end. I look forward to hearing more books from this author. Very well done. ☺️
