About this audiobook
Cordelia Carstairs has lost everything that matters to her. In only a few short weeks, she has seen her father murdered, her plans to become parabatai with her best friend, Lucie, destroyed, and her marriage to James Herondale crumble before her eyes. Even worse, she is now bound to an ancient demon, Lilith, stripping her of her power as a Shadowhunter.
After fleeing to Paris with Matthew Fairchild, Cordelia hopes to forget her sorrows in the city’s glittering nightlife. But reality intrudes when shocking news comes from home: Tatiana Blackthorn has escaped the Adamant Citadel, and London is under new threat by the Prince of Hell, Belial.
Cordelia returns to a London riven by chaos and dissent. The long-kept secret that Belial is James and Lucie’s grandfather has been revealed by an unexpected enemy, and the Herondales find themselves under suspicion of dealings with demons. Cordelia longs to protect James but is torn between a love for James she has long believed hopeless, and the possibility of a new life with Matthew. Nor can her friends help—ripped apart by their own secrets, they seem destined to face what is coming alone.
For time is short, and Belial’s plan is about to crash into the Shadowhunters of London like a deadly wave, one that will separate Cordelia, Lucie, and the Merry Thieves from help of any kind. Left alone in a shadowy London, they must face Belial’s deadly army. If Cordelia and her friends are going to save their city—and their families—they will have to muster their courage, swallow their pride, and trust one another again. For if they fail, they may lose everything—even their souls.

Chain of thorns – The last hours 3
Chain of thorns is the third part of the trilogy ‘The last hours’.
The story was so awesome that I couldn’t put it away and I finished the story in a few days. The book has a few unexpected plot twists and the follow up of them are very short, so the speed of the story is going fast.
Cordelia Carstairs had made some important mistakes that influenced her decisions in her life, such as hiding her secrets from everyone else, even against her own husband James Herondale or her will-be parabatai Lucie.
The crazy woman Tatiana Blacktorn is escaped from the Adamant Citadel with the help of the demon Belial who wants destroy the world. To reach this goal he needs the physical body of his grandson James Herondale.
Is James strong enough to protect the world and his friends?
In the trilogy ‘The last hours’ are published:

As always Cassie never disappoints! I love the adventures and emotions that happens with all the characters! There is so many stories to be told.
I love the relationships that happen. Not only romantic relationships but all the friendships made. They all showed real relatable things that could hurt any relationship. And forgiveness can mend a relationship as well.
I ended up liking Grace. She was so helpful at the end and had a good redemption. Most "bad" people dont get that and I'm glad she did. She's a good example of things parents choose for you does not mean it is right.
Im soo sad that Kit died! I loved his character so much. But I also loved him for other characters as well. Mostly for Grace. I liked the idea of them building a relationship. I believe Grace needed him and had earned him. I wish she could have had her happy ending and Kit as well.
Im so happy that Matthew go better and was able to over come his battles. He was also a very witty character and I love him.
Jesse! He was so good and I'm so happy he was able to live as Jesse instead of Jeremy. Again it wasn't his fault all the stuff had happened to him. It was his mother's. I loved how kind Jesse was and was also so reasonable. He was so sweet with Lucie as well.
I loved that we got bits and pieces of Will ,Tessa and Jem. They are always a favorite.
Also so many happy endings! What more could you ask for ?!1 person found this helpful

Since I started this trilogy, I found it somewhat unnecessary but hoped I was wrong and that I would enjoy it as much as other works by the author. However, that was not the case; I felt the entire book was nothing but filler with repetitive and tedious teenage drama, and even though there were some moments that excited and pleased me, I feel there aren't enough to say that it was a book I enjoyed. It's hard to stop reading a saga to which I have dedicated so much time, and I will surely continue reading whatever the author releases from this universe, but I hope others enjoy it more. They don't know how much I was looking forward to this book, and maybe I'm not being objective because Shadowhunters means a lot to me, but I loved this book from start to finish. I felt like I was on a rollercoaster of emotions, and in the end, I adored all the characters who had already stolen my heart before.
I felt the beginning was a bit slow, but I think that was because I was anxious and just wanted the drama to explode ?.
However, I loved the entire story and it kept me super hooked. Of course, I cried, laughed, and felt thrilled like only a Shadowhunters story can do.
The final chapters were heart-pounding, but I liked the closure that Cassandra gave to the story; maybe I expected a little more, but I definitely liked it and it made me smile a lot.
In conclusion, I can only say that this book was a great closing to this trilogy that I undoubtedly loved. (Translated from Spanish)
