Es Londres de 1901, Matthew Fairchild un joven considerado apuesto se encuentra en el Mercado de Sombras donde le gustaba estar buscando una poción para hacer decir la verdad, pero se encuentra con Jem y lo llama tío, al ser el tío de su parabatai James Herondale.

Esta historia apela a nuestra nostalgia, por lo que uno se vuelve hipersensible. A eso hay que agregar que nuestra queridísima Cassandra Clare adora jugar con nuestros sentimientos.

Ella tiene una forma muy particular de hacerme sentir increíblemente contenta con el carisma de sus personajes, pero a su vez, hacerme sentir sumamente desolada.
