- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5What the actual fuck was this??? Eric, WHAT IS GOING ONNNN
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This wasn't bad at all, just really wasn't something I was into
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Though the premise was not an original thought, it was twisted enough to give it a clear perspective of originality. It flared in spots of King's Needful Things but broke off quickly enough for me to stop comparing. There are very vivid and brutal scenes...its not for everyone, but these scenes are well done and are very impactful to the story. The characters were strongly developed, giving me tears at the end. The narrator elevated the story, being the perfect choice...he brought to the forefront an air of suspense and creepiness that kept me listening. I finished this audiobook in record time due to its sinister vibe capturing me from the beginning. Good listening.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Though it wasn't super spooky, what was ultimately going on and the things around it made it quite creepy. The characters were well realized and I felt for them and their trials, and liked how all their paths converged at the end.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5A strong start, lovecraftian but a little disappointed towards the end.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Goodness, this was a challenging read at times. VERY dark and subject matter that was very heavy for sure. LaRocca has a way of sucking readers in with his narrative and writing style though and even when parts of this book were difficult to read, I couldn't stop.
A very strange tale as well and touched on some interesting topics regarding idol worship, religion, homophobia more.1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5This was sitting at a 3 star for most of the reading experience, but the last 4th of the book dropped it down to a 2. The book was pretty meh for me, and then suddenly a graphic r*** scene appeared, and it and it's aftermath left me a little traumatized. Definitely not something I wanted to experience via audiobook
