Excellent shortie. The narrator was terrific. Larocca did a great job intertwining Black's memoirs with his novella. Very clear descriptive scenes...dark and twisted premise. Loved the horror, GREAT STORY.

It’s quite good and short if you’re looking for something to help get you out of a reading slump but I’m not sure if I would pick it up again. I listened to the audio version and had to rewind quite a bit because I feel like this narrative was really meant to be consumed visually. The novella within the narrative was pretty solidly enjoyable with an interesting twist and the interspersed fictional writings of the martyr added a new layer to the whole experience. It definitely has me still thinking on it and parts of me are a bit confused still but maybe I would’ve had a better experience reading it the e-book version instead. Overall, definitely worth a listen/read (but you’re probably better off reading it yourself).

The novella inside the book is fantastic, But sometimes the poems and pretentious nature of Martyr gets a little draining. Overall a good read

Yeah, it was a bit too pretentious. They should have cut all the Ambrose bits and just left the novella, which has a pretty good story.

LaRocca writes for Black Mirror and I’m here for it.
