About this audiobook

Winner of the 2023 Audie Award for Thriller/Suspense

This “gloriously tangled game of cat and mouse” (Ruth Ware, #1 New York Times bestselling author) explores the anxieties of impending motherhood, unreliable friendship, and the high price of keeping secrets. Perfect for fans of the thrillers by Paula Hawkins and Robyn Harding.

In this “outstanding debut thriller” (Booklist, starred review), Helen’s idyllic life—handsome architect husband, gorgeous Victorian house, and cherished baby on the way—begins to change the day she attends her first prenatal class.

There, she meets Rachel, an unpredictable single mother-to-be who doesn’t seem very maternal: she smokes, drinks, and professes little interest in parenthood. Still, Helen is drawn to her. Maybe Rachel just needs a friend. And to be honest, Helen’s a bit lonely herself. At least Rachel is fun to be with. She makes Helen laugh, invites her confidences, and distracts her from her fears.

But her increasingly erratic behavior is unsettling. And Helen’s not the only one who’s noticed. Her friends and family begin to suspect that her strange new friend may be linked to their shared history in unexpected ways. When Rachel threatens to expose a past crime that could destroy all of their lives, it becomes clear that there are more than a few secrets laying beneath the broad-leaved trees and warm lamplight of Greenwich Park.

Great story with lots of twists and turns. A little slow and hard to follow at the beginning, but made up for it once I got deeper into the story.

I've never been pregnant (never will be) but idk how this woman didn't A-loose the baby. Or B- go into early labor with all this stress. Also to be able to do all that is one sick individual...

Interesting story. Although 65 chapters until anything actually happens would have loved more of the after story

The narration on this book was great. It did have enough suspense to keep me interested. Though I did work out the end. Check it out.

Really hooks you in from the beginning and slowly unwinds. Hard to put down.

Very enjoyable. Like Agatha Christie’s books/plays there are different thoughts on guilt throughout.

And many things to be guilty of.

The writer always keeps you questioning. The book is so well written and always interesting.

No dull spots where it’s obvious that what you are reading/hearing is a kind of dull description of what the author did, ate, saw while on holiday. This book is never dull. Never boring.

    Throughout the book the author
    doles out interesting clues,
gives us many wrong/rotten/bad things that people may be doing or may have done,
    brings in new characters,
expands on characters we already know and
    always keeps us guessing.
Always keeps it interesting and enjoyable.

The narrator, Laura Kirman, gives a great performance of the book. Her performance compliments what the author has written. And her voice is nice to hear.

Greenwich Park is definitely a book to read/audio book to hear. It’s well written
    interesting and enjoyable throughout.

I hope that Katherine Faulkner writes fast, so I can read another one soon.

Adored this book! It was a complex enough story that the end of the story was a surprise, even if I had predicted a few of the twists. Loved it, and loved the narrator!

Keeps you guessing until the very last few chapters. Well written and good story. It did frustrate me that the protagonist was clueless almost the entire book when there was definitely something up with other characters

Pretty typical domestic thriller. A little slow, with not much happening, but at the same time full of chaos.

I figured out the main twists pretty early on, and there is a lot to try to follow while listening but overall a good debut.

Love the narrator! Definitely made it a lot of fun. Also made it a quick listen despite the slower storyline.

Definitely recommend for those that love this sub-genre or ones that want to try it out.

EXCELLENT!! You think you have the book figured out BUT YOU DON’T! Twists, turns, and loops…lol Excellent read, the Near raider could’ve done a better job changing her voice for the different characters, but other than that small critique the book is absolutely incredible!

Good second half of the mystery. It takes far too long to get to the twisty ending. Full of red herrings

This book was quite thrilling although I wish the start of it had been a little faster. I did not see the ending coming and I enjoyed all the twists and turns. Some stuff it felt like they skimmed over while some minor details I felt weren’t needed but all in all it was pretty interesting and I was hooked.

Wow. Great story. Great narration. What a tangled web they all weave in this one. Helen is the main person telling the story. She and her husband are expecting and she has just come to her first birthing class. Her husband her brother and his wife who are also expecting cancel at the last minute. She soon befriends Rachael who is also alone in this class. Rachael soon starts turning up everywhere Helen is. They developed and somewhat friendship one side being borderline stalker in her behavior. This group 9f friends and this outsider soon find themselves in a twisted gripping mystery. At times you will wonder who is truly who they say they are and then it just keeps getting flipped and it will keep you riveted til the end. The author puts a nice epilogue wrapping things up neatly. Excellent read.

So many twists straight up until the end! You never had quite all the info to figure things out. The main character didn’t take enough charge for my liking after some key points were revealed but otherwise the rest of the characters were compelling! Will listen to another of this author’s books!

This ended up being so good!! I wasn't sure what type of novel this was going to be. A lot of time was spent building the characters but it was so worth it. I mainly listened to the audio book but read the last several chapters. I could visualize it like a movie. Can't wait to read more from the author!
