Did not see that coming! For a thriller it was clean. No vile language! And I totally did not see the end coming! She did a good job of throwing you off the scent! The only thing I did not like is the characters get away with murder! There’s no justice there.

I listened to this book in two days. I had a suspicion about the plot twist, but it was still really fun getting there. Some of it was a bit slow and some a little to fast for what I wanted out of the story.

Both female characters were beautifully flawed and more than just a male’s plot device.

I really liked the narration, but I can see someone finding it cringy. She does a Long Island accent that can be found in any episode of SVU—I found it charming. It’s not often a female narrator will do a complete voice change.

This made me want to read The Skelton Key again.
8/10 would recommend

This book did NOT go where I was expecting it to.
