This book is such a whirlwind. Def be prepared for some dark stuff so do not play around with the content warnings. But who can’t love a Batman/ Joker hottie with a mask and an obsession for only you? When you think it’s not gonna get any crazier, it gets even crazier and you’re only 50% of the way in. Also the voice actors are PHENOMENAL in this book. I now expect all my future audiobooks to have the talent and story telling these guys had. I was seriously impressed by this book.

It was very good ! Alot of spice as it is in a dark romance book but the fact that it dosent have a happy ending its iven more in rememberable.

Man, what a hard book to review. I can totally see people either loving or hating it. It's hands down the most depressing story I've ever listened to. I'm a dark romance lover, but this was too dark even for me. Heavy trigger warnings ⚠️

What in the actual fuck... I have no original idea so I am gonna take batman's story add a bit of 50 shades and bad episode of criminal minds together and boom there is a book full of nonsense. I was counting until they became vampires. So it could include all.

This was nothing like i had been led to imagine from reviews I had read but I have to say it's one of the best dark romance books I've read so far.
I love serial killer books but so far all the "dark romance serial killer" books have been a weak plot & just smut... which don't get me wrong, I'm a total smutaholic, but I want a good storyline too & to be invested in it as well as having a bad ass book boyfriend ?
Well this really had it all. great storyline, blood, guts, gore, and violence.
The sex was ???? but it didn't take over the entire book or the story.
This was dark, it was raw, it was a love story, it was also an unputdownable thriller. ( I did work out the plot twists from the start but there's not many books that I don't, so...) .
The narration was spot on & I really felt the characters and the myriad of emotions.
Don't bother reading this if you're looking for hearts & flowers & a hea because this is definitely not that. Tbh it was refreshing not to have the "Disney princess ending for a change.
The authors note at the end broke my heart.
This book does have noncon & a lot of mental health issues so please read the trigger warnings.

Exceptional Story and Narration?Dark, Twisted and Mind Blowing!

~ Wow, just wow, this story blew me away so much so it left me speechless and believe me it takes a lot to leave me speechless and that is exactly what this book is, a lot and so much to take in and digest. Ariel N. Anderson is a new to me author and consider me impressed, with both her writing style and creative mind. She created an original and multilayered story with complex characters, a romantic tragedy like no other. I highly recommend going into this book with an open mind and knowing as little as possible, so it is best to avoid spoilers and just enjoy the ride, a dark and twisted ride, so check trigger warnings in you have any. Elena Young left Texas to attend law school in Meridian City, NJ, and despite her family’s wealth, she was determined to make it on her own and got a job in the legal department of Reeves Enterprises. She does not live in the best of neighborhoods and she finds herself in a jam after three guys follow and jump her into an alley. There is a masked man, a vigilante, who roams the streets to rid of scum of the earth and he comes to Elena’s rescue and saves her. That is not the last he sees of him though, because she becomes his obsession and she is not sure how she feels about that since there is something about him that draws her to him. They call him the Silencer, and he calls her his angel. Then she has some workplace drama, but Christian Reeves, the CEO, steps in to set things right, and he takes an interest in Elena, too. Christian intrigued me and I thought he and Elena were great together and for each other and enjoyed watching them get to know each other and learning more about them both. Anderson weaves a complex web with these characters, their past and their future, and she keeps you on your toes and takes you to the edge of your seat. Just when you think you have something figured out, it turns out to be something or someone else. The story is captivating from start to end, and once I started it, I did not want to stop because I needed to know what happened next. This romantic tragedy has non-stop drama, twists and turns you never see coming, some gut-wrenching moments, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. The world building and character growth and development are phenomenal, too. Ariel N. Anderson, thank you for this amazing story and wild and emotional rollercoaster ride.

~ Lee Daniels and Joe Arden’s exceptional performance knocks this book out of the stratosphere! Their character voices are fitting and I loved how they took each role, ran with it and made it their own, sounding believable and just as I imagined they would sound. Daniels nailed it as Elena, grasping every aspect of her personality, from her insecurities to her strength and determination. Arden was just as amazing in his roles, and did the same for his characters, showcasing his character’s traits perfectly. and wow, there is nothing like his chiller/thriller villainous side. Both were fantastic performing the roles of the secondary characters, too. They set the right tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their performance elevated this already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another outstanding listen!
