About this audiobook

**Part 1**

Bad boys have never been my thing.

I’ve seen firsthand the kind of devastation they can cause. That’s why I go for safe.
Predictable.
Guys who will take whatever I’m willing to give.
That way, I always have the upper hand, ensuring that my heart remains unscathed.

There is only one problem.
None of those men have ever made my heart beat faster, or made me feel out of control.
That is, until him.

I live by one rule. Treat others the same way they treat me. So, if Sylar treats me as though I’m his world, does it matter that technically he is not a good man? He’s good to me. He’s good for me.
At least that’s what I’m gambling on.
With the one thing I swore I’d never risk.
My heart.

New York Times Bestselling Author...

The “See No Evil” series features a hallmark of Fernando’s writing: a bad boy the stubborn heroine can’t help but fall for. Their New Adult romance is angsty, sexy, and compelling, and Fernando’s characters are grittily real.

A bit to sweet and vanilla for my taste. Def not a dark romance. Lonely hard working girl meets brooding guy with secrets-they fall in love- guy leaves without a word, girl is heartbroken-girl”shockingly “? discovers she's pregnant-on to part two…

Great story love the characters. Wished it wasn't 2 different book. But still good.

What a squeaky voiced narrator. Sounds 12. And she can't keep the male lead character's name consistent, constantly changing the pronunciation thereof. The storyline is ridiculous. All in all a pathetic book.

I almost couldn’t finish listening ?. Female narrator speaks like a robot ?
** told in the heroine’s pov, except for epilogue **

Started with potential then really faltered in the middle with a pickup toward the end. I was tempted to give up and stop listening, but it kept me interested enough to want to see it thru to book 2. Decent read, just not a book I'd go out of my way to recommend to a friend. Fingers crossed for part 2 ?.

Don't know if I would have liked the book better, but the narrator sounded very wooden and overly pronunciated most of the dialogs. I would hope someone wouldn't speak like that normally. It felt so stupid and uncomfortable to listen to

The story is good. But the narrator's voice is hard to listen to and she is very robotic. Debating if I will listen to or just read the next one. Also, the whole story is from the female pov. We only hear the male narrator in the very beginning. Also the male narrator does not fit the character at all....

(Sylar & Brielle): So, okay, Chantal Fernando is here to play. I have loved all of the books I've read of hers before but now she's getting to be a little adventurous. There's more mystery and for once there isn't an insta romance goin on. Brielle is a diner owner and she meets one of her patrons, Sylar who's very quiet and extremely sexy. She's immediately interested but he is a little closed off. Brielle seems a little pushy to my 6 but in the nicest way. He continues to tell her that he's not a good person but she either doesn't believe him or doesn't care. When they do get together, it's like an explosion of hotness. Then when she's hooked on the line… poof he's gone. We know nothing about this man, not even why he's not good. And it's a damn cliff hanger with a plot twist to boot. Argh ?. I can't wait to sink my teeth into the next one.

I like the broody types, and this quiet, mysterious man is vampire-level broody. This book ends on a cliffhanger, so you might as well queue up the next book quick.
