Claire is simply evil and Samson is a weak male character. The fact their break up was terrible, how much their break up really affected them so negatively, how hurt they hurt eachother. Samson knows how much she can con and lie. Why he was catering to her as thoughbshe was helpless, they're bloody assassins and cons, not a fan of this story. Working an angle within your own "family" where trust and truth are so important...too ugly. Book 1 was slightly better.

Not a fan of the narrator in this one Lucy Laurel reads too valley girl like. The inflictions are too much. As well, she is terrible in reading for the male characters, not able to keep the tone consistent.

Stopped at Chapter 5. Storyline, characters and narration are terrible.
