About this audiobook

As a Royal Protector, I can’t resist a damsel in distress...

Being an official bodyguard to the royal family of Limaj, isn’t just my job, it’s who I am. With lives depending on me, love isn’t on my duty roster.

Until I’m called in to protect a civilian. Smart, sexy and way too naïve for her own good... Solange is making me want things I shouldn’t.

When we’re together, I’m consumed. And now that I have her, there’s no going back.

Getting lost in her blue eyes could lead me down a dangerous path... but I’m prepared to protect what’s mine.

With a new enemy in Limaj and traitor among us... both our lives are at stake.

The problem is my loyalty. I’ve sworn an oath to defend the royal family at all costs.

What if the cost is her?

Editor's Note

Wildly Sexy...

The third book in Mizera’s “Royal Protectors” series pairs a bodyguard with a woman who calls in a favor from the royal family to save her small town from a gang. The eponymous hero Axel is strong, fierce, and very protective — ideally suited to be a bodyguard, of course, but also someone an equally strong heroine might butt heads with. Mizera’s series takes the reader on a wildly sexy ride, and it is a blast all the way through.

Still amused by the plot and what characters lives are impacted by the situation, how Axel has no clue about how to understand women.

The story is always amazing with these characters however people who are doing the reading make it very hard to follow along because the accents change from the characters within the story from the same person who's reading I wish there was some continuity from one book in this series all the way to the end of the book in this series it would make it a lot more enjoyable

OMG… the female lead in this series is so unreasonable. ? and confusing too. However, am glad she finally came to her senses.

I really started out liking the story.....but I can only read so much of the 'poor, pitiful me'. And that female lead is such a spineless, jealous, complaining character that I could not, no matter what, like the character at all and she COMPLAINED endlessly. I love strong confident female leads and I won't finish this one or the others. Maybe you could suggest something in romance with strong confident couple that doesn't have to make up the most horrible childhood drama and in up blaming every thing on her parents. It's horrible. Sorry

The female lead is a whiny, selfish bitch. Can't stand her. I've no idea how the book ends because I give up. The previous two books was good, so I'm a little disappointed.
She bitches over her life but doesn't do anything to resolve it, just waits until somebody else fix it for her. Tells the lead male that she doesn't want to be involved, he respects it and keeps away and "that's why I didn't want to be involved, I know you would leve me!". Ehh.. on you demand lady, but no, it's his fault. Se is a big red flag, that's no way to behave to people.

I've enjoyed each book in the series and this one was no exception. I'm not usually a fan of age gap stories because they usually have one character under 21 and I just can't wrap my head around that scenario but this character was 24 so that was better. The characters are pretty well developed and the entire story line envelopes you until you feel like you know everyone personally. I've enjoyed them all so far.

    Detailed Descriptive Sex - 6-7
Um, Wow, Beyond Descriptive Sex - 8 or above

Was there so much sex or unrealistic sex that you rolled your eyes and/or skipped forward? Maybe

The back story... The h calls the H for help when a local gang is beating up his brother and father and wrecking their shop. He helps and eventually brings the family to the castle since the gang is continuing to attack.

The Romance... Builds quickly although he freaks out a bit too much while being angsty about his choice of a career.

The drama explosion... The H does not vocalize his support when the h needs him the most.

Did it feel real or contrived? Somewhat real
    Was it OTT? Yes
    Separation involved? Yes
Was it resolved properly or rushed? Ok

Final Notes... This was going to be a 4.5 star listen for me but the OTT reaction by the h just went on too long. She had every right to be hurt but she was willing to give up everything because she didn't want to let go or think about forgiveness.

Very good Story and, like the other books, the author keeps you interested.

[POTENTIAL SPOILERS] I feel like Solange was a bit on the weak side in some ways. I thought the way they had reacted so coldly to her in the end was unforgivable. The fact that Axel, especially did, was cold. If he had explained he had faith in her and backed her but had to keep his distance until things were sorted, it would have been understandable. Sandor acted like he wanted to put her through torture and I thought he was going to lol. Axel offered her what he did in the end by HIS choice. The group acted like she was being selfish when it was HIS idea. I didn't get that, but it happens when others butt into things they shouldn't. What about her wanting to go to University? No one seemed to acknowledge it. I guess she just gave it up for him, a marriage, and babies when it was all said and done? Wasn't she and even the country trying to get away from the old ways? Also, while it's understandable they are a family, it was like the group was the final decision maker on everything. If they disliked someone, they would find a way to get them out of the picture. The girl had been through so much. Forgiveness would take me personally, much longer than what she did.
