About this audiobook
From USA Today Bestselling author Melissa Schroeder, get the second book in her wildly popular Camos and Cupcakes series!
When by the book Harry Bradley gets thrown together with his sister’s best friend EJ, opposites don’t just attract, they explode.
She’s my sister’s best friend. A woman who calls to me on every level, but she can’t stand me. Our one date ended when she deemed it over and left–before we even ordered food. So I shouldn’t want her.
But I do.
Still, I’ve mastered controlling my emotions and my lusting…well, mostly. Of course, when she suggests we work together to promote both of our businesses, I jump at the chance. That chance leads to a kiss…and so much more.
Now, if I can just restrain my control freak ways, all will be well.
Warning: This book includes more cupcakes (of course), meddling friends, romance book references, a gun-toting Grandma, a trip out of state, wine, more cupcakes, and a dirty talking hero who not only surprised the heroine, but also this author. I’m not embarrassed…not really. Okay, maybe a little…a lot. Never mind. Just know that you have been warned and I will not be held responsible for any blushing in public. Also…CUPCAKES.

USA Today Bestselling Author...
Schroeder’s “Camos&Cupcakes” series continues with “Luscious,” which pairs a rigid guy with his sister’s best friend. He can’t seem to control himself around her, though, which is a problem when they agree to work together to promote their respective businesses. This rom-com is delicious and delightful.
Melissa Schroeder
From an early age, USA Today Bestselling author Melissa loved to read. First, it was the books her mother read to her including her two favorites, Winnie the Pooh and the Beatrix Potter books. She cut her preteen teeth on Trixie Belden and read and reviewed To Kill a Mockingbird in middle school. It wasn’t until she was in college that she tried to write her first stories, which were full of angst and pain, and really not that fun to read or write. After trying several different genres, she found romance in a Linda Howard book. Since her first published book, Grace Under Pressure, Mel has had over 60 short stories, novellas, and novels published. She has written in genres ranging from historical to contemporary to futuristic and has worked with 8 publishers although she handles most of her publishing herself. She is best known for her Harmless and Santini series. After years of following her military husband around the country and world, Mel happily lives with her family in horse and wine country in Northern Virginia.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Ehh. It’s a great book; well-written and super sweet. I love the story and all the inter-connected relationships, but honestly EJ doesn’t seem that great from the way she treats Harry from day one (date from hell?? She literally walked out on him for no reason whatsoever and let everyone make fun of it for a year and a half…). I know everyone keeps SAYING how great she is, and she’s written to be a great female character, but she just comes across as mean and brittle. She’s the least likable of the female MC in this series, but she’s not irredeemable—just obnoxious. The whole “James women fail at marriage” line over and over and over again to justify keeping Harry at arm’s length and pretending she didn’t have “real feelings” was just too much. Plus, to literally never have had a conversation with her mother about how she felt didn’t make sense. I feel like Harry was written as a much more complete and well-rounded character despite all the supposed virtues given to EJ. overall I loved the story, but she was definitely not a favorite person despite being the reason for the story.
