About this series

Don’t miss out on the exciting conclusion to the Camos and Cupcakes series from USA Today bestselling author Melissa Schroeder.

Hey, there. Fritz O’Bryan at your service, the only remaining single guy in the Camos and Cupcakes shop. My friends call me a player, and I try to live up to their expectations. I mean, the women of San Antonio are relying on me to save them from boredom.

That is until I find myself practically homeless thanks to my jerk of a cat. The last person I expect to save me is world class chef Savannah Martinez. With the temperament of a Hell’s Kitchen reject, she’s the kind of woman I usually avoid. Still, beggars can’t be choosers, so I take her up on her offer.

It doesn’t take long to discover that prickly woman is kind of sweet. She shows me time and again that she does have a softer side, one that I definitely want to get to know. And when her world implodes, I’m more than happy to be the soft place for her to fall.

Losing my heart to her was never in my plans. Now that it’s happened, I have to convince her that I not only know how to play the game, but I know how to win her heart.

Warning: This book includes more cupcakes (of course), a trip to the altar for Ginger Jesus and his Sunshine, more time with EJ’s Gran, a bachelorette party, drunken reveals, and a turn on the dance floor that leaves the hero…floored. This seduction is slow and easy and…well, let’s not get into that too much. This might be the last of the Camos and Cupcakes guys, but it isn’t the last trip into their world, so don’t cry, just be happy. Oh, did I mention…CUPCAKES?!

I've loved him for years, but never told him. One drunken kiss changed everything. Allison Bradley has always known what she wanted. At thirteen, I decided to be a nurse. That very same year, I fell in love with Ed Cooper. Sure, I was barely a teenager and he was one of my older brother’s buddies from boot camp. I didn’t care. I was in love or lust…or something. He consumed my every waking thought. Sadly, fifteen years later, I’m still infatuated and he sees me as a little sister. Baker Ed Cooper has a problem. When she was a teenager, Allison was a sweet nuisance. Now, I want to take a bite of her to see just how sweet. I’m beyond infatuated with her but she’s my best friend’s little sister. Definitely against the bro code. Every time she comes into our shop–which is just about every freaking day–I lust after her. If her brother knew, he would definitely kill me. One drunken kiss changes everything. The moment Allison’s mouth hits mine, I know there’s no going back. Just one taste of her turns me into an addict. Even though I know I’m not good enough for her, once I’ve had her in my bed, I know I’m not giving her up. Warning: This story includes so much sweetness from the strawberry lemonade cupcakes to the sexy giant of a baker you might end up with cavities. There are meddling best friends, an older brother who needs to get his own life, and so much frosting used in inappropriate ways you’ll probably die of embarrassment. Or I will. Maybe not. Listen, just buy the book and get ready for sweet, hot, over the top kind of romance that will leave you craving for more than cupcakes. You’re welcome.

From USA Today Bestselling author Melissa Schroeder, get the second book in her wildly popular Camos and Cupcakes series! When by the book Harry Bradley gets thrown together with his sister’s best friend EJ, opposites don’t just attract, they explode. She’s my sister’s best friend. A woman who calls to me on every level, but she can’t stand me. Our one date ended when she deemed it over and left–before we even ordered food. So I shouldn’t want her. But I do. Still, I’ve mastered controlling my emotions and my lusting…well, mostly. Of course, when she suggests we work together to promote both of our businesses, I jump at the chance. That chance leads to a kiss…and so much more. Now, if I can just restrain my control freak ways, all will be well. Warning: This book includes more cupcakes (of course), meddling friends, romance book references, a gun-toting Grandma, a trip out of state, wine, more cupcakes, and a dirty talking hero who not only surprised the heroine, but also this author. I’m not embarrassed…not really. Okay, maybe a little…a lot. Never mind. Just know that you have been warned and I will not be held responsible for any blushing in public. Also…CUPCAKES.

Author

Melissa Schroeder

From an early age, USA Today Bestselling author Melissa loved to read. First, it was the books her mother read to her including her two favorites, Winnie the Pooh and the Beatrix Potter books. She cut her preteen teeth on Trixie Belden and read and reviewed To Kill a Mockingbird in middle school. It wasn’t until she was in college that she tried to write her first stories, which were full of angst and pain, and really not that fun to read or write. After trying several different genres, she found romance in a Linda Howard book. Since her first published book, Grace Under Pressure, Mel has had over 60 short stories, novellas, and novels published. She has written in genres ranging from historical to contemporary to futuristic and has worked with 8 publishers although she handles most of her publishing herself. She is best known for her Harmless and Santini series. After years of following her military husband around the country and world, Mel happily lives with her family in horse and wine country in Northern Virginia.

This book just wasn’t my favorite in this series. And tbh, I did not like the narration of this book. I wanted to like it, really, but it just wasn’t as good as the first two.

I enjoyed the story but not the narration. I finished the audiobook because I wanted to see how the series ended.

I really enjoyed the third book the most. Great fun read.

This was a cute story. However, the male narrator was absolutely HORRIBLE. I cannot emphasize how bad he was. I am in shock that the author let this narrator essentially ruin her story. He sounds like a kindergarten student learning to read and sound out words.

Engaging story line, predictable as expected for the genre. Steamy! I enjoy series and these three were great.

The book and storyline is great. I have a hard time listening to the narrator. He has so many pauses in the sentences that are not natural sentence breaks.

The plot and story were good. I was not a fan of the male reader. It made the story boring when I wasn’t.

Story was awesome, as always. Male narrator not so great. Only reason I downgraded to four stars.

I do believe I would have enjoyed the story more, if the male reader were better.

Really enjoyed the story but not the male narrator: Jack King. Poor diction, pauses where they don’t belong and even some mispronounced words.

The story was great but the male narrator had a very awkward cadence. Made it a bit tedious to listen to but a nice ending to the series.

This series is cute, but the sex scenes are a bit ridiculous. I mean who Os that many times, every single time? The narration of this book was hard to listen to. The male had pauses that were distracting from the flow. I listened on 1.5 just to get it done. I hate to DNF any book, but especially the last of a trilogy.

I loved the book also the narrator male and female were good !!!!!

Ok, so the first book was sweet, the second delectable, but truly this last one hit the mark in so many ways. It was really a slow burn in the most scrumptious way. While this book was the longest of the three it brought all the family dynamics together with Savannah's brothers and her backstory, Grandma Pots, the "_sshole" cat , cupcakes, tango, her girlfriends with their respective loves, and another wonderful epilogue to tie it beautifully together. I know the series drew me in when I kept thinking of the characters well after the series finished. That to me, is the sign of an amazing story. Wonderful!

The story line seemed really cute-and I was excited to listen to it. HOWEVER, I had to stop 1/4 of the way in. The female narrator is so monotone that I couldn’t tell when she went from k r character to another-or who I. The world was talking. She literally didn’t change her voice from person to person, so a conversation was extremely confusing, Making the book pretty awful. I feel bad. I wish I could have continued. The story was really cute…I think?!

The story was interesting but the female narrator made the lead male sound like a weed smoking douchebag “bro” ?
I feel like I would’ve gotten more emotion if my Alexa read the story to me.
