About this audiobook

Welcome back to Juniper Springs, home of gay ducks, Nerdvana, and the LOLS.

Okay, so here's the thing. I'm Liv, the normal O'Bryan sister. I have two kids I'm raising on my own, and I even have what people think is a boring job. Going to Vegas with my insane sisters is out of character for me, but I take that chance because of my new job. And let's face it. I lost my husband over five years ago and I just haven't...well...there's been no one.

But an altercation with some drunken idiots has me almost falling on my butt, until a set of very strong hands save me.

Mason Spencer is younger, beyond sexy, and interested in me. So, I give in for one night. Can't hurt, right? He goes above and beyond my wildest expectations. The next morning, I say thank you and head back to my life.

Until I move in next door to him, and my insane dog Houdini keeps showing up on his doorstep so I can't even avoid him.

Author

Melissa Schroeder

From an early age, USA Today Bestselling author Melissa loved to read. First, it was the books her mother read to her including her two favorites, Winnie the Pooh and the Beatrix Potter books. She cut her preteen teeth on Trixie Belden and read and reviewed To Kill a Mockingbird in middle school. It wasn’t until she was in college that she tried to write her first stories, which were full of angst and pain, and really not that fun to read or write. After trying several different genres, she found romance in a Linda Howard book. Since her first published book, Grace Under Pressure, Mel has had over 60 short stories, novellas, and novels published. She has written in genres ranging from historical to contemporary to futuristic and has worked with 8 publishers although she handles most of her publishing herself. She is best known for her Harmless and Santini series. After years of following her military husband around the country and world, Mel happily lives with her family in horse and wine country in Northern Virginia.

Good concept but did not like the execution. Storytelling was definitely rushed. I would often wonder if I fell asleep because it felt like I missed chapters of the story.

Ok, here we go...... I love the storyline... but what's up with the male Narator who speaks plainly, then goes to an intense country slang????? It was too much! But I loved the story. It made me shed a few tears.

Excellent listening. A different love experience than a regular love story. Older woman falls for younger man.

Can't wait till book 4 is in audiobook form. While one reviewer doesn't believe people are born homosexual, I'm glad the author knows that they are. While I knew at a young age I was a lesbian, I tried to adhere to the Christian society's norms, I could not. I gave up at age 22 and followed my heart in order to be happy.

Release date shows 7/2023 yet promotes the lie that there is a person is born “gay”, even though John Hopkins disapproved this notion back in 2019. Stop promoting lies. There is no gay gene.
