About this audiobook

In every life there is a turning point …

A moment so tremendous, so sharp and breathtaking, that one knows one’s life will never be the same. For Michael
Stirling, London’s most infamous rake, that moment came the first time he laid eyes on Francesca Bridgerton.

After a lifetime of chasing women, of smiling slyly as they chased him, of allowing himself to be caught but never
permitting his heart to become engaged, he took one look at Francesca Bridgerton and fell so fast and hard into love
it was a wonder he managed to remain standing. Unfortunately for Michael, however, Francesca’s surname was to
remain Bridgerton for only a mere thirty-six hours longer—the occasion of their meeting was, lamentably, a supper
celebrating her imminent wedding to his cousin.

But that was then … Now Michael is the earl and Francesca is free, but still she thinks of him as nothing other
than her dear friend and confidant. Michael dares not speak to her of his love … until one dangerous night, when she
steps innocently into his arms and passion proves stronger than even the most wicked of secrets …

I really thought I'd hate this book and tbh I hesitated to start reading this after Eloise's story bc its about Francesca and I know nothing about her since compared to other Bridgerton children, she's nowhere to be found on the other books, well aside from Benedict's story.

Buuut, I must say her story's very different from the previous books, which I all loved btw esp Anthony's, and I juuuust loved it! It focused grief which is a very heavy subject compared to the other books and it was really a nice topic to tackle about.

Francesca really frustrated me toward the end like girl, just make a damn decision already! I felt so much for Michael in that moment. Imagine secretly loving someone for so many years, your feelings just became so big you just can't keep it as secret any longer. God, I just want to smack her in the head.

Out of all the heroes of the Bridgerton series, Michael's my most favorite now. Used to be Colin but he'd just have to be the second one now, eh? He's still my most fave Bridgerton tho.

4.5 Stars! This may be one of my favorite of the Bridgeton stories, though as always I wish the characters would talk more openly with each other! It would safe a lot of hassle!

Michael is an absolute saint in this book! I didn’t really like Francesca much, I felt sad for her, and I understood some of her confusion, but how she treated Michael, I couldn’t fathom that. It all came around in the end, so she got some forgiveness, but there were parts it was difficult to witness her in action.

After reading the first five I thought this one was disappointing. If you've read the books in order, Colin and Eloise are married. They aren't in this book. These "Gentlemen" are certainly not that way at all. They remind me of horny teenagers. I am glad that Michael was not Micaela. Thank you for your writing.

I am really loving this series! This book was another great book in it! And I'm so glad the second epilogue was included, because it let us know that Francesca finally had children! She had a boy and then a girl! I was so happy for her and Michael! :-)

A delightful and entertaining read! Highly recommended reading. Might have abused the word 'wicked' but I'll allow it because it was that much fun. Best sex scenes of all the Bridgerton series. Very good story with a interesting take having Francesca happily married at the start of the book. This ranks as one of my favorite of the series.

The Bridgerton series always leaves me feeling like whatever book I'm reading at the moment is my favorite. "When He Was Wicked" is no exception! Francessca may be my favorite Bridgerton sister. I really like the depth in her story with the themes of grief and infertility. It is something I can find myself relating to. And if I need to find hope, the second epilogue is always there to comfort me. Kudos to Julia Quinn!

Finally a Bridgerton book where the guy treats the girl right. I mean there was a bit of him going out of his way, but I'm glad Julia did a better job with this male.
The story was ni e, though it felt unfinished or the plot was solved too quickly - "Mary me" "No" "Mary me" "No" "Mary me" "Fine. Yes"

I think this in a way is the best of the first six bridgerton series' books. Great characters and plot. So touching and rewarding in the end.
