The narration made it difficult to get into the story. It felt like it rambled in a bit and could a bit if editing.

I like erotica but found myself getting bored through the sex scenes.

I enjoyed the male protagonist, the story and the storytelling. However, it took me a while to finish because the female protagonist was so severely exhausting. I kept wishing she would go get some therapy, even after finishing I still think she needs to find a therapist.
No one perfect, and I enjoy a flawed character, but some of the things she said/did made me say "WTF" But I guess I should've known what I was getting into since the name of the book is named "Messy" and the 1st scene is just that.

Eyewateringly bad British accents from the male reader, which seems a bizarre hiring choice given that he's voicing an English man in this novel. I thought his English accent was bad, and then I heard his attempt at Scottish. Ouch.
