About this series

What seems like surrender may not be surrender at all…

A Windy City Kink Book

Paige Nelson has an amazing new life in a new city with her own business and new friends, her abusive ex-husband firmly in her past. Plans to expand her business are running into a few roadblocks, but she doesn’t need a man to help her. She can do this on her own.

From the minute he lays eyes on Paige, prominent developer Raff Lauden wants her. Intensely. Urgently. Though petite and delicate usually isn’t his type, he finds himself asking her out. Even more surprising? She says no.

Paige has a history of being attracted to dominant, controlling men. The kind she swore never to get involved with again. But maybe she’s trying to resist the one man who can give her everything she’s ever really wanted…

Warning: This book contains a feisty little blonde who likes to play with fire and a big wounded hero who won’t let her get burned.

Wine her, dine her…then untie her. A Windy City Kink Book Sasha Bendel is a bundle of nerves as she knocks on the door of a Gold Coast penthouse. Her landscape design business took a hard hit when one of her biggest clients defaulted on his payment, and she desperately needs this rooftop garden design project to get back in the black. But when her potential client answers the door, she’s stunned. It’s her old high school boyfriend, the one her wealthy parents ran out of her life when they were discovered engaging in some youthful exploration of bondage and discipline. Twelve years ago, Jack Grenville let Sasha’s powerful father intimidate him into giving up the love of his life. With the help of a sensei, he’s overcome his obstacles and accepted his sexual dominance. Now he’s back in Chicago to claim what’s his—Sasha. One look at Jack brings back all the forbidden desires Sasha’s put on lock-down since that shameful night. No way can she turn down this money-is-no-object job…but can she resist Jack’s no-knots-barred determination to recapture her heart? Warning: This book contains a woman with a sweet tooth, a man with a sweet obsession, a cupboard full of bondage rope, and some not-so-sweet kink.

If he’s a mistake, she’s ready to make him her favorite mistake. A Windy City Kink Book Mallory Hurst has tried to live a life that makes up for past mistakes. But now she faces a huge ethical dilemma. Her pharmaceutical company’s unapproved, off-label use of a medication puts lives at risk, and her protests have fallen on deaf ears. Hoping a trip home will clear her head, she boards a plane for California. And strikes up a conversation with a handsome stranger. Joe Mason recently learned that the man he’s called father all his life…isn’t. At least that explains why he never measured up to his older brothers. Flying to meet his biological father for the first time, he meets a sleek, sexy woman who makes him want to mess up her perfect hair. Shared conversation leads to a shared drink between flights, then when their flight is canceled, a shared bed overnight—where their rush of attraction explodes into a night of much-needed kinky fun. Yet a night of hot, messy sex won’t fix anything—in fact, blowing off steam could have blown their lives all to hell… Warning: Contains a hot cop, a neat and tidy executive, dirty talk, kink in an airport, mile-high shenanigans, a little foot fetish fun. And love, of course.

I love all of her books but the narrator’s voice is almost robotic. It’s very distracting

A very confusing character whose actions run counter to their issues.

Unpleasant to listen to. The narrator sounded robotic and made me wonder if this was made with AI narration.

The narrators were not very good. With different narrators this story could have been read so much better. There’s no expression in their voices.

Great story but the narrator sounded ingenuine and like a robot

I love the gist of her books. I think maybe because I listen some of it is the way it’s read but the wording and some of the things the characters say is a little over the top and not natural but I’ll read more of her books for sure.

In the whole series, there seemed to be a lot of repetition in what was being said, and the females using kid friendly swear words was really distracting.

Also, while there we some spicy scenes, being the "windy city kink series," I expected a lot more than what was prestented.

Not a fan of the narrator. Sounded like Siri was reading the book. Skipped a lot bc of this.

Great story but agree with other reviews that the narrator was robotic most of the time.

Story is good but sweet baby zombie Jesus the narrator sucks big time. No emotions, no intonations, no feelings, felt like it was a computer reading it and although the story is good, I feel like it took a lot from it.

Male lead was overbearing. Paige kept saying she didn’t want someone controlling like her ex. She went straight to a controlling man who made all her decisions for her like she was a child. She says “I want to go home”. He say’s “I’m taking you to my condo”. She is a grown woman. She can go where she wants. There is also a lack of pronouns in several areas that is flat out irritating. Male lead keeps saying “gonna do this” “gonna make you” and on and on. How about a bit of I, She, He , We etc. I’ve enjoyed the authors other books but this one just wasn’t enjoyable due to these things.
