For several years, long-distance running was a big part of my life, encompassing almost every aspect of it. So much so that I overtrained pretty badly until I was forced to step back and take an extended break. The irony of it all is, in hindsight, had I listened to my running coach, things might’ve gone differently. Joining me in this episode is my running coach, Josh Maio. While we focused on three topics in this episode, body image, the role of the weight room, and the importance of rest in running, we also talk shop about other topics from personality traits of runners, to the dynamics of the running community, the role social media and so much more.
