Description

Animal proteins have gotten a bad rap in the weight loss world, but is this accurate? Adding more protein to your diet is often one of the keys to long term weight loss. With all of the trendy diet information out there, it can be good to go back to the basics like meat and fish. 3 reasons to enjoy animal protein:

Inherently satisfying. Often, the protein and fat combo found in most animal proteins is the satisfaction our bodies are craving. In addition, you get vitamins and minerals such as Vitamin B and Iron from animal protein that you wouldn’t find in a protein powder.
It can be convenient: Beef Jerky, cheese sticks, deli meat- You can pick these up at most gas stations. These items are savory, satisfying and nutrient dense.
Great tool to combat holiday snacking. Holidays can be problematic in terms of endless snacking and treats. When you’re at a holiday party, choose food items based on animal protein such as deviled eggs, oysters, meatballs.
