Millennials have been through a lot of historical events that affect our stress levels, but we’ve also seen a lot of trends that have affected our relationship with our bodies and weight loss. From watching our parents do Atkins, Weight Watchers, or Nutrisystem, to spending endless hours on social media platforms that glorify smaller bodies and fad diets, we get tons of false information thrown at us. In this episode, I’m turning down the volume on all this messaging and sharing five things millennials can do to have more success with weight loss.

Try to be more active on a daily basis. Rather than focusing on three to five super intense workouts every week, aim to get 10,000 steps a day by walking to places when you can, going for a lunchtime walk, or even cleaning around your house.

Take care of your mental health! A lot of psychiatric disorders are diagnosed in your twenties, which are super important to address. But our generation generally deals with chronic stress and overstimulation, so it’s super important to take care of our mental health to avoid coping with food.
