Synopsis

Evelyn keeps finding out new truths about her family. There is a web of deceit and lies around her, and only she can unravel it. Emotions play a major role in everyone’s decisions but the type of emotions, as well as how far people are willing to go for those emotions is the difference. Oliver tries to appear like the nice, caring gentleman who isn’t like his father, but he really wants to frame Will so he can have Evelyn. Is Will going to do anything to see Big Tom and Jack rot in prison? And Evelyn is unsure of her love for Will, especially after discovering new truths about his family. That, coupled with her growing crush on Oliver, and the uncertainty of everything around her, leaves her confused.

Will’s POV

Will is willing to do anything to protect Evelyn. He loves her deeply, but Big Tom and Jack stand in the way of a peaceful relationship with Evelyn, without drama. Evelyn wants to break up with him because she does not want him to be hurt, but deep down, Will knows he cannot survive without her. He is constantly thinking of what to do to put a permanent end to Big Tom and Jack.

Arghh! Can you go easier, please? I feel like a scorpion bit me from the inside. It aches! Will confessed to Evelyn.

If you were not so stubborn, your stitches would not keep tearing! Now stay still so I can apply the bandage, or you will have to visit the hospital again. I honestly do not know why you cannot stay still! Evelyn retorted irritatedly.

Will groaned as Evelyn poured a purplish liquid on his wounds. It felt like he was burning from the inside out. As she began to apply the bandages, his mind drifted back to the past. He was fourteen, while Evelyn was ten when he used to work at her mother’s bakery. He could never forget the first time he saw her. The events were still fresh in his memory. He had gone to buy bread at her mother’s bakery, and he had seen her trying to take a sachet of yeast from a cabinet located way above her head. Something about her multiple jumps, consistent failure, and facial countenance made him laugh and feel pity for her. He walked up to her and, true to his childhood nature, began with a barb.

Somehow, I can see you with a lot of powder all over your body. If you keep jumping like that, you will soon have a lot of yeast all over you! Who knows? With a little luck, bread may start to grow from your head!
