Synopsis

Big Tom and his sons have struck again, as anticipated, but this time around, they want their freedom in exchange for paying off Will’s debt. Bill, on the other hand, receives an offer from the Hornets as well. He is to complete his task of killing Will and getting his freedom. Both parties have to make a choice. While they are battling with this, Evelyn’s notorious half-sister, Courtney, returns to town.

Evelyn’s POV

I am terrified that Big Tom has come for us before we can blink twice. I am also angry at Will for agreeing to take up their offer. I relax afterward when he seems to have a counterattack strategy. Courtney returns before we can settle our issue with Big Tom. Her return smells like doom, and just when I think I have successfully erased her from the picture, she decides to be a pain in the ass again.

Will’s POV

Big Tom is back, and I am forced to take his deal to free him in exchange for clearing our debts, a sign that we were free of him. Evelyn and the others don’t think I should have done that. I convince them that I have a plan and go ahead to make one with Mike, the sheriff, so we do not become criminals after carrying out Big Tom’s orders. Evelyn informs me of her notorious sister who is back in town, and just after we were going to be done with Big Tom, she ushers herself in.

Bill

Bill yawned tiredly as he pulled out the last weed in front of his small shed. The house was almost falling apart. Evelyn had done a good job of making sure that the interior of the house remained solid, but the grass growing outside the house was insane.

He stretched his back now and turned to look around the area he had weeded. He felt satisfied and started toward the house. He still had three more sections to weed before the house was restored to its former glory.

Bill dropped the small sickle he had in his hand, at the entrance to the door, and started toward the kitchen to wash his hands. He took his time at the sink, and from there, he went into the sitting room, checking to make sure that the door was locked. When he was certain, he turned back and continued to the bathroom to take a shower.

As he got into the tub, he yawned again. This time, it was hunger, and Bill was certain that even after a long shower, he would still not have the answer to What will I have for breakfast? Bill took his bath, regardless, and twenty minutes later when he stepped out of the bathroom, he had a solution to his little problem. He would go into town, and just be himself.

He threw on a pair of shorts and a tee shirt. He put on a hat and started toward the small garage behind the house. He hardly used it for parking his healthy cars. The two trucks inside the garage looked very unhealthy.
