Synopsis

Evelyn, Lisa, her sister, and her boyfriend, Will are led to believe that Oliver, Big Tom’s son, is on their side of the battle against the Hornets, even though Bill warns them against believing that. Lisa is the first to realize what a fraud Oliver is and his plan to frame Will and disturb his already strained relationship with Evelyn. She and Will lead a plan to put Big Tom behind bars. Their plan fails, however, Oliver is arrested for forgery. They celebrate the small win but not for long, as the Hornets strike not long after.

Evelyn’s POV

I think Will has gone too deep into my family crisis, and I fear it might bring harm to him like it always has. He is insistent on paying off the debt and Oliver, Big Tom’s son, wants to help, although my father is suspicious of him. Lisa unravels Oliver’s evil plan to send Will away. I am enraged! We plan, with the sheriff, to put the Hornets behind bars, but I still feel like something is wrong. I hope we can put an end to this deal with the Hornets once and for all.

Will’s POV

The battle with the Hornets is still on. I want so badly to end this, but Evelyn thinks I should stay out of the matter. Of course, I am adamant as always, and glad that I am, especially when Lisa reveals what evil plans Oliver has for me and Evelyn. We plan to arrest Big Tom and end the Hornets’ little game. I am confident that our plan will work, even though I get a little uneasy when our meeting venue is changed. I hope it ends this time!

Oliver

Oliver took another sip from the wine glass in front of him and yawned tiredly. He was in his small office, the one he had carved out behind the stables. He stared at the screen in front of him and the voice mixers in the room. He smiled mischievously and leaned forward to continue working. After working for about thirty minutes, adding and deleting voices, as well as comparing them to make sure there were no disparities, he relaxed back in his chair and rocked back and forth.

He played the recording and listened to Evelyn’s voice as she spoke. He closed his eyes and listened to her as she repeated the words: I am only with Will for his money. He was sure this would break the boy from the ranch, but he cared nothing for him! Evelyn was his only target, and he was progressing.

He relaxed back against his seat and closed his eyes, stopping the recording. Cool country music played from the shiny black stereo on the nightstand beside him, and he hummed to the sound of the music. He thought of Lisa. He felt a pang in his chest. She was available for the sort of games he and his father were playing with Evelyn, but unfortunately, his heart wants what it wants.
