Description
It’s a solo episode today and CJ and Megan are in the hot seat chatting about the shifts and changes they have both been making to support themselves in managing anxiety. They share the things they have been adding to - or removing from - their daily routines, what tools and supports they have found that are making a big difference and the impact the changes have on them physically and emotionally.
We talk about breaking rituals that were no longer serving us (ahem - caffeine), creating new habits and finding new rituals to support us, when to take the path of least resistance and how to lean into simplicity to cut down on overwhelm. We cover the impact that stress and anxiety have on us physically, stress relieving tools to calm your nervous system and the importance of regulation. We look at how we can un-complicate things, look through a lens of ease and be more aware of our day to day capacity, being aware of how things feel in our bodies and the power of “name it to tame it”.
We talk about what a stress cycle is - how to close the loop and the impact it has on us, why we prioritize protein and sleep and the uncomfortable space of pushing through resistance to try new ways of doing.
PLUS: the power of gratitude, meditation and proper nutrition, giving yourself grace in the day to day and the spiritual journey of switching to decaf.
