Description
Today we are sitting down with CULT chocolat founder, multi - passionate entrepreneur and mother of two Ying Tang. We are talking about how she got started in business, what made her choose to learn all things chocolate, and she shares her story of being blindsided in business. Ying shares with us her story of being in business with family, how she was pushed out of the business she built with her sister, what it looked like when the partnership came while she was navigating postpartum depression with young children at home. She shares how she moved through the loss, what her relationship with her sister looks like now, and how it impacted their family dynamic.
Ying openly shares what her postpartum depression journey looked like, when she realized how she was feeling wasn’t normal, how she navigated moving through it, the tools she used to support her and the importance of seeking help and support. She tells us how building a new business helped her though it, why she chose to move forward with her love of business, what it looked like to start over and the choices she made in her new business to implement growth and remove some of the pressures.
We talk about how she found her confidence being a solo entrepreneur, and why she actively chooses to focus on finding the lesson and celebrate small wins, and how she uses visualization as a personal development tool. You’ll heart about the importance of strong branding with intention, the story behind choosing the name CULT, why she chose to use a wholesale vs retail model, and the behind the scenes of designing the incredible packaging. Plus: the power of being “in flow” in business, choosing to show up with commitment and find growth and learnings vs being stuck in victim mindset.
