Today we're welcoming back Maddy from Episode #13 of The HER Podcast, but she isn't alone! We've brought her husband Tanner on today to hear a life update from them on their fostering journey. Maddy and Tanner started fostering five years ago and since then have had numerous children join their core family unit. Some for just a short time and others staying for longer. Maddy and Tanner are focused on bringing awareness to foster care, the good and the heartbreaking. They don't shy away from being honest about the system and that while it's a hard journey it's one that's rewarding. We hear about the system, where foster kids end up when they age out and how the loss of one child impacted their family.
