Description
For to which of the angels did God ever say, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father” Or again, “I will be his Father, and he will be my Son”? And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all God’s angels worship him.” (Hebrews 1:5-6)The book of Hebrews tells us a lot about who Jesus is. In this section, the author spends a lot of time comparing Jesus with angels, but he makes it clear that Jesus is far superior to angels. God never refers to angels as his only begotten sons, but He repeatedly affirms that Jesus is His son. God does not command the angels to be worshipped, but instead, He commands the angels to worship His Son. In fact, the few times in Scripture where people mistakenly try to worship God's angels, they're rebuked. God alone deserves our worship and praise. He's where the joy is!
