Description
In speaking of the angels he says, “He makes his angels spirits, and his servants flames of fire." But about the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom." (Hebrews 1:7-8)The book of Hebrews tells us a lot about who Jesus is. In this section, the author spends time comparing Jesus with angels, but makes it clear that Jesus is far superior to angels. God uses angels in a variety of ways. Specifically, he uses them as messengers, which is what their name means. Jesus, on the other hand, is far more than a messenger. He does bring a message but He is also the Eternal King who reigns forever. His kingdom will never end. No matter what happens in your day, the reign of your Eternal King isn't threatened. As his human messengers, may His Kingdom be our focus. He's where the joy is!
