Description
The plaintiff says she hired the defendant, her cousin, to file some important paperwork for her business, but the defendant allegedly made many mistakes and wasted the plaintiff’s time and money. She’s suing her cousin for the wages she paid. The defendant, a paralegal, claims the plaintiff couldn’t get her act together. The paperwork was delayed due to the plaintiff’s incompetence, not hers. She worked hard for the money she was paid and insists she doesn’t owe her cousin a dime.
Then, the plaintiff says she gave her ATV to the defendant for some repairs. The guy put in a new battery, which lit the ATV on fire, and now it’s a total loss. She’s suing him for the $5,000 she says she’s owed. The defendant argues there were multiple mice nests in the ATV, and it caught on fire because they chewed through the wiring. He says the fire was due to the plaintiff’s neglect, and he owes nothing. The defendant is countersuing for storage costs.
Plus, the plaintiff says he rented a house from the defendant. Once he sold the house, the defendant kicked the plaintiff out with very short notice and didn’t return his security deposit. The plaintiff is suing for the deposit money he says he’s owed. The defendant insists the plaintiff damaged the house, and he has the pictures to prove it.
