Description

Today I’m joined by author and social worker Jessica Sanders. However, those titles do not do her justice and a more appropriate is ‘social impact entrepreneur’. Jess has a passion for creating resources that nurture positive mental health and promote gender equality. Every project she pursues is born from the question, ‘Why does it have to be this way?’ and her first book, Love Your Body is the perfect example of this. Love Your Body encourages young girls to admire and celebrate their bodies for all the amazing things they can do, and help girls see that they are so much more than their bodies. In this episode of Holistic Health Radio Jessica and I talk about Her journey to becoming an author The widespread problem of body dissatisfaction (particularly in young girls) Why there’s such a lack of body diversity in the media and how this influences our self-perception and body image The impact of unrealistic body and beauty standards on our society as a whole To find out more about Jessica Sanders you can Follow her on Instagram @iamjesssanders Check out her website www.re-shape.info Or order her books Love Your Body and Me Time here If you enjoyed this episode please be sure to: ❤️Subscribe to the podcast so you don't miss an episode! ❤️Leave us a rating and written review ❤️Follow Sarah Liz King on Instagram @sarahlizking ❤️Check out my coaching services on www.sarahlizking.com
