Description
In this episode, I had the pleasure of interviewing Seth Baird. Seth is a lifelong athlete turned runner. He came to running later in life after a back injury left him unable to pursue bodybuilding, a sport he picked up following graduation from college. Now in his mid-30s, Seth is once again faced with a potentially life-altering ailment that may threaten his ability to run and often leaves him in significant pain daily.
Fortunately, he has made many wonderful connections in the running community over the past three years. And despite the inability to run, he's found a way to channel this passion for running into developing an online platform to help others overcome the early entry hurdles that plague many new and intermediate runners.
Seth works in occupational therapy with the geriatric population helping people maintain the highest level of independence and function. He's father to a wonderful five-year-old girl, from which he draws much of his inspiration, and he's been quoted saying his wife is "the captain of the ship."
