I like to define imposter syndrome as the separation between who you believe you are and the actions you want to follow through with. It’s a disconnect that’s acting as a barrier between yourself and the eating habits you want. Your beliefs about yourself as an eater are preventing you from showing up as the healthy eater you want to be. For example, maybe you’re believing you’re someone who “has no control with food”. And then from this belief, you’re trying to follow through with a food plan you set ahead of time. Nothing about doing this feels authentic or possible for you right now.You feel like a fraud.
