    Enlightenment

    It occurs in the 18th century, and raises fixed stages of evolution, each one superior to the preceding one: primitive, savage and civilized societies, in a LINEAR EVOLUTIONISM and with a conception of unlimited social progress. A greater rationality, greater civilization, universal psychic unity of man (Montesquieu, Voltaire, Adam Smith), study of the origin of cultures by their social stages, in equivalence to the natural system, through an empirical and inductive study to achieve general laws as in physics. There is a prescriptive system to produce the best of all possible worlds.
