About this ebook

Rage bribes Jones to a Drive-In movie with the one treat he cannot resist, homemade doughnuts. The weather is pleasant for Seattle and as it darkens the windows start to roll up. But not so much on some cars to keep the windows from completely steaming up. A trip to the snack bar is made before the movie gets to the climax.
The second movie is running, and Rage has a knock on her jeep’s driver’s window, “Give me your key, phone and money or I will shoot.”
She turns to face a double barrel shotgun hitting the side window. She makes a remark to alert Jones, then turns to the gunman, “Get out of here or I will kick your butt to the police station.”
Jones yells, “Ears,” just before he pulls the triggers.”
The shooter is thrown into the next vacant stall. Rage and Jones are out of the jeep armed with Colts, phones, and lights. They shoot several robbers trying to hold up other cars. Rage goes toward the entrance; Jones goes to the exit.
More shots ring out, but they are drowned out by the shooting on the screen.

Rage goes to put a message over the speakers for everyone to get down and don’t start your car. She shoots several cars dead to stop them from leaving. Jones is trying to block the exits.
The police take a call about the Drive-In holdup. When the call comes from Rage and Jones with their intent to shoot first, a mad rush is made to the scene. The police’s lights the Drive-In but that will not do the job and they wait until the fire department installs their large lights.
It takes all night to separate the movie goers from the hiding robbers mixed in with them. Rage and Jones return the next afternoon to assist in the investigation.
They are faced with a question, ‘why tear the snack bar phones off the wall and then issue a fake repair man to pick the up, to be replaced with new ones later?’

In a senior police chief’s meeting Inspector Strong offers an observation, “This more than a Drive-In holdup. There is nothing worth the risk. What did they want to test?”
Later Rage has several thought which the Inspector passes along to the FBI.

Several weeks later in LA all their questioned are answered.

    Chapter 1 A Movie Date?

Detective Rage calls patrolman Jones, Hay, the weather has no rain tomorrow, I think there is one Drive-In movie left in the valley. They are showing three of Clint’s Spanish cowboys. You can sleep through some and when you wake up, it is the same everything but a new movie. Never miss anything.

Jones prefers movies at home where you can take your shoes off and walk around when you want. But you never pass up a night, particularly when she bring fresh donuts.

Sure, you want me to drive.?

Of course not, your truck is OK but not even a cup holder. Your gun rack is not that great either in the city. I will pick you up; bring lots of money.

    Right you are.

Janette Wanda Rage is from Idaho and back home, the weather ‘cool’ means it is close to freezing, a little ‘nippy’ means the temperature is not too far below freezing. For it is ‘not too bad’ back home when the temperature is around zero. The folks back home will say it is ‘cold’ out there, if you can walk on the two feet of snow and not fall through it. That happens at about a fifteen below zero. A blizzard is when the wind is at forty miles per hour and the temperature is near forty-five below zero. It is never said to be hot until it hits over a hundred but that just ripens the grain.

Her badge number is 7304. She had been a patrolman for several years. She was the first officer to carry a Colt 45 on the entire police force. The police began reviewing their entire small arms procedure after this. It all came about when patrolman Rage riding as a rookie patrolman became involved with a street gang. The situation got out of control and Internal Affairs stuck their nose in after it was all over. You can understand better what and why she carries a Colt 45 as her standard sidearm after reading the ‘13th Street Gang #1.’

The rookie homicide Detective Janette Rage has been on the Police force for almost eight years. She is
