Description

This week marks my 1 year anniversary of doing this podcast. I have recorded 52 episodes, baby! I thought it would be fun to talk with you about how to reflect on your achievements and learn to move forward intentionally.
It’s been a huge year of personal growth for me. Starting a project and keeping with it for an entire year is really an achievement! I feel like we are always so focused on the future and are really down on ourselves about the ways in which we didn’t reach our goals., myself included sometimes. I want to show you a process of personal growth inquiry that’s kind ,and growth centered, but also celebrates the win.
I have received a lot of great feedback from people that they are finding it helpful, and I’m going to keep going. My mission has always been to help as many people as I can. Teaching people about their mental health and personal growth changes lives for the better. Remembering that mission is what has kept me going.
Here are a few things that have helped me. These are also ideas to help YOU level up in your own life!
· Pre work rituals. I try to do the same thing every time I sit down at my computer to record. I do a 5  minute mindfulness meditation, burn some sage so I have those nice smells, and let go of whatever negativity might be hanging around. Transitions are key for the brain- Having a little ritual, however silly it might be, helps to get our mind in a working space when used intentionally.
· Consistency. We can ALL benefit so much from consistency. It’s crucial for so many things, whether it’s therapy, eating habits, drinking habits, or any kind of self-improvement we want to do. If we want to level up, we have to be consistent. Being consistent with this weekly podcast has even helped me create consistency in other areas as well!
· Tenacity. Another thing I’ve really worked on this year is tenacity. That willingness to keep going even though sometimes I was tired or uninspired or thought no one cared. It payed off! Anytime we are trying to reach a goal, the smallest forward movements can be the most important key to success. No matter what was going on in my life, or how uninspired I was at times. I continued with a determination and tenacity that helped a lot. When you have a goal….just keep doing the very next tiny thing on the list.
· Vulnerability. Any time we want to grow, we have to get uncomfortable. Building a new business is uncomfortable. It takes a lot of time and energy but my hope is that I’m going to help a lot of people, and I’m willing to push the envelope because of that.
If I want to help more people I have to be really vulnerable and willing to show up, and deal with fear. Building a business is scary, but I refuse to life my life in fear. When you are trying to achieve you own goals- always keep your eyes peeled for FEAR. She’s a tricky one. She will talk you out of your best ideas!
As for my intentions for the next year, I’ll be here doing what I do for the next year. I will make that commitment to you. Thanks for being here and being willing to look at yourself and do some self-work in your life. I really appreciate that. That is what’s going to move us all forward. Don’t you think? I mean, what if we all knew about boundaries, could communicate effectively and stopped letting our brains run our lives? That would be sweet!
