When something feels hard or difficult to change in terms of our current routine/habit, most people push it off until tomorrow, after XYZ date, etc. or complain about it or we give up on it completely.  Because we naturally don’t like for things to feel hard. . . it's human nature to shy away from anything that is a threat.
