Living Well with Arthritis: Self-Care Practices for a Vibrant Life
()
About this ebook
Self-care sounds overindulgent. However, it absolutely necessary for a chronically ill person’s overall health and well-being. Most of us grew up believing that the harder we work and the more we do, the more excellent we will become. However, this paradigm no longer works for us. Now that we’re chronically ill, we have to choose to do less. And you will probably find that the less you do, and the more you will reprioritize your life. The more often you add rest and replenishing time into your life, the better we will feel and the more resilient. In the process, you will live the best life you can with whatever chronic illness you are experiencing.

Yet, we feel unwell because we keep pushing ourselves and not taking care of ourselves.
