About this audiobook
The truth shall set her free, but not if someone wants her dead first.
Business has been good for historian Paisley Sutton, but when she goes into her own church parish house to salvage some of the early 20th century fixtures before the building is demolished, she uncovers far more than vintage cabinets. Once the women from church hear about the secrets Paisley is uncovering, they are bound and determined to reveal the truth and unmask a murderer in the process.
Will Paisley and her friends uncover the truth before the cover-up kills them all?

Cozy Mystery History...
Bookens’ “Stitches in Crime” cozy mystery series continues with “Counted Corpse,” which finds our protagonist Paisley Sutton on the hunt to solve a past murder. Her historian work leads her to find diaries from a previous pastor’s wife, and it seems that whatever the pastor’s wife knew led to her death. Bookens’ world is cozy and community-rich, but also asks a few hard questions about small-town living.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Pollyanna characters and storyline. If you want an easy to follow, happy ending this book is for you.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5was very disappointed in the ending left you hanging about the relationship between the sheriff and Paisley
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book isn't just an entertaining read, but it brings historical information in. Not historical as in so-in-so born on such-and-such date, but stories of history. Whether these were true or not, they were very interesting to me. The story made me question what history in the south during slavery really was like. How truly horrible was slavery!!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is yet another great book with interesting and believable characters that support the plot and maintain your interest.
