Everyone loves getting mail, but not when it’s clasped in someone’s cold, dead hands.

Harvey Beckett had heard tale of how the postmistress steams open people’s mail to feed her gossip-hungry customers, but when the postmistress is murdered, Harvey learns that the mail carrier might have been doing more than passing along juicy details. Soon, Harvey and her father find themselves embroiled in hunt to find a killer, a quest that might stop her dad’s heart.

Can they find the truth amongst the tall tales without becoming legends themselves?

The THEM & THEIR in chapter 14 was very confusing as no where was the character described as that before this!

The story line was pretty decent. There are a few petty things that bug me in these books. Does anybody real blush and cry as much as these people?! Also these friends seem totally focused on helping Harvey. What about the others? And Harvey keeps calling herself an introvert. Really?
I’m going to finish the series as I guess I’m hooked.

Trite or inane characters , or the reader's voice get on my nerves. I don't remember; it's been a while and I didn't get far into the book. Only reviewing now, as I wish I could remove all their books from my cozy murder recommendation list. YMMV.

The storyline was decent, but I couldn't get over the narrator's voice. She tries far too much for a character's romantic line to be "dreamy", etc. It's challenging to distinguish her character's voices too.
